Burial in Maale Adumim – Derech HaChaim Cemetery
Maale Adumim, a vibrant city of approximately 40,000 residents, is located just 8 km east of Jerusalem — about a 20-minute drive from the city.
Adjacent to Maale Adumim is Derech HaChaim Cemetery, a beautifully maintained and recently expanded cemetery that now offers burial plots
for Jews from abroad who wish to be buried in Israel (after 120 years).
This modern and carefully maintained cemetery provides exclusively ground burials, offering a peaceful, dignified, and respectful environment.
The cemetery features convenient access throughout, a large parking area, and full wheelchair accessibility for visitors and families.
One of its unique features is a specialized grave-location app (available via the Maale Adumim municipality), allowing visitors to easily locate individual graves.
The cemetery also offers breathtaking views overlooking Jerusalem, Har HaZeitim (Mount Olives), and the Judean Desert, and is known as the
closest cemetery to the Temple Mount outside Jerusalem.

Derech HaChaim Cemetery is equipped with a beautiful and comfortable hall for funeral services, designed to accommodate families and guests with dignity and ease.
The hall is air-conditioned, wheelchair accessible, and features a modern audio system. It can comfortably host up to 200 visitors, with additional outdoor loudspeakers
available for larger gatherings. Live broadcasting and recording options are also available for those unable to attend in person.
